Florentine Gardens Wedding | Alyson and Stephen
Photographed by Associate Photographer Guy Andrew
Alyson and Stephen’s wedding was stunning. My associate photographer Guy did a wonderful job capturing this wonderful Florentine Gardens Wedding. I can’t wait to photograph a Florentines Gardens wedding myself! This wedding featured some beautiful night portraits, a stunning reception and lots of emotion. For a little backstory on the bride and groom, here is a blurb from the bride:
Stephen and Alyson grew up together in Mount Olive, NJ (only 2 miles away from each other). They both graduated from Mount Olive High School in 2006 however, they never really got to know each other during this time. They reconnected in 2010 at the Dark Horse in Morristown. Alyson and Stephen hit it off from the first day they hung out, they both had a witty, sarcastic personality, which lead to funny conversations together. They dated for about 6 months after they met. However, Alyson was moving to California in January so they knew it would never last. That didn’t stop them from hanging out and creating memories with one another as the years went on.When Alyson moved back from California they reconnected and remained friends for the years to come (many years). Finally in August 2015 they decided the time was right to make things serious..the rest was history. They moved in together and got a cat (even though Stephen hated them, but Alyson knew it was meant to be once Pluto came home). They have been creating many memories together since. The most memorable memory is when Stephen proposed….
It was a brisk Friday when Stephen met Alyson in the city after work. They stayed at the Hudson hotel by Central Park right in the middle of the city. There were little shops set up in Central Park they walked around, buying the best cider donuts they ever had! From there they went to grab a drink at a local bar then decided to get ready for the night ahead of them! Stephen surprised Alyson with tickets to see Christmas Spectacular…she had been wanting to go for years, it was always a tradition with her Grandmother “HoHo’. After they went to see the tree and there was one last surprise Stephen had up his sleeve. He brought Alyson to Rolf’s the ultimate restaurant of Christmas decorations. It was one of the most magical places Alyson had even been. With the fun atmosphere in the background Stephen decided the moment was right. As he got down on one knee he asked if Alyson could make him the happiest man in the world and marry him. It was a night full of love and excitement. The next morning Stephen surprised Alyson with not only brunch but close family and friends. It was a memorable weekend that will never be forgotten.
